Terms of Service

By using @SkyVerdict_Bot on Telegram or this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the bot or the website.

What SkyVerdict is

SkyVerdict is a Telegram bot that returns a personalised pre-flight verdict (GO / CAUTION / NO-GO) for paragliding sites, based on numerical weather forecasts, live anemometer readings, and pilot-level threshold logic. It is a planning tool and judgement-aid. (Subprocessors providing the underlying data are listed in the Privacy Policy.)

What SkyVerdict is not

  • Not a safety device. The verdict is not an authorisation, certification, or guarantee that flying is safe.
  • Not a forecast guarantee. Forecast models can be wrong. Anemometer feeds can be stale or offline. The bot will tell you what its inputs say; it cannot tell you what the actual weather will do.
  • Not a substitute for local knowledge. Your local instructors, your club's experienced pilots, and your own ground observation outrank the bot. Always.
  • Not air-traffic-control advice. The bot does not consider airspace restrictions, NOTAMs, or aviation regulations in your jurisdiction.

Your responsibilities

You agree that:

  • You are a paraglider pilot certified at the level you report in your profile, or you are using the bot for educational / planning purposes under qualified supervision.
  • You will not rely solely on SkyVerdict to decide whether to fly. You will cross-check at least one other independent source (Windy, Meteoblue, your local club's weather call, ground observation).
  • You take full responsibility for every flying decision you make — whether or not it agrees with the bot.
  • You understand the bot's verdict is generated by software and may differ from human expert judgement.

No warranty

SkyVerdict is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, complete, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. Forecasts and live readings are provided by third parties and may be wrong, delayed, or missing without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkyVerdict and its maintainers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the bot or this website — including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, lost flying days, or third-party claims. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the service.

Subscriptions and refunds

Paid tiers (Pro Monthly, Pro Annual, Founding Member) are billed via Telegram Stars. Subscription status, expiry, and cancellation are managed in-bot via /subscribe. Refunds are governed by Telegram's Stars refund policy — we will honour Telegram refunds when the platform issues them.

Founding-member pricing (1 700 Telegram Stars per year, locked) is contingent on continuous subscription. Lapsed founders re-subscribe at the then-current regular Pro Annual rate.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the bot. Do not scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract data that does not belong to you. Do not impersonate another pilot or club. Do not use the bot to assist commercial activities that violate paragliding regulations in your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to suspend any account that materially violates these rules.

Termination

You can stop using the bot at any time by blocking it on Telegram. Paid subscriptions can be cancelled via /subscribe. We can terminate or suspend accounts for material breach of these terms, with or without notice.

Changes to these terms

Material changes will be announced in the SkyVerdict Telegram channel and reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the bot after a change indicates acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION_TBD]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [JURISDICTION_TBD]. This placeholder will be replaced before the Phase 2 paid-launch boundary, in line with where the operating entity is registered.
